Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie also known as Andra is a American R&B, soul and musician and singer. In addition to receiving a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she has also been nominated for an Academy Award. Andra is not just an old-fashioned R&B singer, her gospel blues and jazz roots can be heard in a style that is both effortless and sophisticated. Her debut single Cheers to Fall (2015) was a top hit on the R&B/hiphop charts. Additionally, her contribution to Marshall (2017) brought the singer an award including a Grammy Award and Academy Award. Amen (2018) Make Your Troubles (2020), as well as her Golden Globe-winning performance in Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) are continuing to create anticipation for Day's second full album. The actress was born Cassandra Monique Batie in Edmonds Washington Andra Day was raised in San Diego and its metropolitan region where she sang in churches and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Day was signed by Warner Bros. after gaining the attention of a huge YouTube fan base along with Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans Buskin. The track was soon picked up by DJs who began playing it on the radio. She subsequently signed with Warner Bros. Records and started cooperating with her producer, Adrian Gurvitz on the album that she released as her debut, Cheers to the Fall (2015). The album included the single Rise Up which became an anthem for social justice movements all over the world. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations including Best R&B Album. The album was came out with The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, A concept album about the life and work of jazz legend Billie Holiday. The United States against Billie Holiday was released in 2021, the year in which she was also featured in the film Holiday. Andi Matichak is an American actor. Her debut came in the movie Halloween in the role of Allyson and was later seen in numerous television shows like Orange Is the New Black (Orange is the new black) Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue) and Blue Bloods as well as Orange is the New Black. Andi Matichak was an American actress who was born on March 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts United States.
