Pickler lived in a difficult environment. When Pickler was just 2 her mother fled to protect her from an abusive family. Pickler had her mother back within her family by the year 1995. They took care of Pickler. However, things didn't work out the way she had hoped. Pickler was reunited with her parents when she was 12 years old. They helped them through adulthood. Pickler was unable to parent her children in their absence. The mother of three confessed to her that in the absence of parents Pickler had no time to go to school.
