Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler on June 28, 1986. She had a turbulent childhood. When she was two, her mother fled an abusive relationship. Pickler had her mother back within her family by the year 1995. She was the one who took the care of Pickler. The situation did not work around as planned. Pickler was then 12 years old and was remanded to her parents through the judge. They took care of her until she turned an adult. Pickler was unable to parent her children in their absence. The mother of three confessed to her that in absence of parents Pickler had no time to take classes. Instead she started to teach herself how to look after her family at an earlier age. Pickler participated in the cheerleading teams of her middle and high school. In 2004, she graduated from North Stanly High School. Pickler also tried her hand at being a beauty queen.
