Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actor. She also sings. Sara Ramirez was raised by an American mother, and faced a lot racial taunts that made her feel unwelcome. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she was praised for her singing as she built confidence. It not only increased her confidence, but also her goals were changed. She was a graduate of New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she played the character in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot receiving not just her the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. In the year following, she appeared on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it.
